Macaroni Kid realizes that there are a numerous amount of musical CD's to choose from now adays, but we would really to share with you one of our recent favorites! Not only are the track's soothing and appealing to children, but Sukey Molly's musical back ground and history gives moms and dads alike, a confident feeling while sharing them with their children.
Growing up, Sukey studied dance and piano at the Hartford Conservatory of Music. She went on to train and perform as a professional modern dancer in New York City and became a member of the Solomon’s Company Dance, performing and touring with the company in NYC and Florida. Following her dance career, with children of her own, Sukey went on to study Developmental Movement and Kidnastics with former Olympian, Garland O’Quinn, Ph.D., and Infant Development with Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen. Sukey has designed and taught music and movement programs in nursery schools, after-school programs, and elementary schools, and, in 2005, launched her own, Nyack, NY-based PlayMove&Sing program of “Mommy & Me” classes and teacher training workshops.
With a goal of achieving greater awareness for her music and performance art, Sukey has embarked upon a full schedule of activities for 2012, including the release of her fourth CD, I Am Sleepy! (Sequel to I Am Happy) The album will feature songs, lullabies, and stories created just for children’s bedtime, including The Story of Little Lamb, and The Story of Twinkle Little Star which are Sukey’s first spoken word presentations!Created especially for children’s bedtime,
I Am Sleepy draws children into a safe and trusting relationship as they settle into cozy slumber and is a Macaroni Kid favorite!
